Joint Personnel Crack Down on PKL and Illegal Parking along Jalan Blora

Some 100 joint personnel were deployed to clear the Jalan Blora, Menteng Urban Village, Central Jakarta from street vendors (PKL) and illegal parking.

Hopefully, it can give a detterent effect

Those joint personnel consisted of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, PPSU, police, army, Environment Sub-agency, Social Sub-agency, and Transportation Sub-agency.

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Tumbur Parluhutan Purba explained the raid was done to arrange the Transit-oriented Development (TOD) area or Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Menteng Sub-district.

Ancol Involves 30 Street Vendors as Its Area Arrangement

"It is focused on Jalan Blora, leading to a chaotic station," he expressed.

As a result, five street vendors were netted and received a warning sanction. Personnel also seized ten wooden benches, five plastic benches, and four tents.

"To control illegal parking, we collaborate with Transportation Sub-agency and police," he asserted.

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Wildan Anwar explained 28 motorbikes' tires were deflated and 15 others were grounded.

"Hopefully, it can give a detterent effect," he hoped.
